Symptoms of Asthma

Asthma symptoms range from mild to severe. Worsening of asthma symptoms was significantly known as an asthma attack. There are several symptoms of asthma, such as:

- Coughing that usually occurs at night and early in the morning.

- Difficulty breathing that makes the sufferer gasping.

- Chest tightness.

- Wheezing, the sound produced when air flows through narrowed airways.

- Asthma attacks are triggered by exposure to allergens or physical activity.

Sufferers may experience one or more of these symptoms. Symptoms are worse at night or when someone is doing physical activity could indicate that his asthma is getting worse and uncontrollable. You should immediately consult a doctor if you experience this.

Severe asthma attacks usually occur gradually, although a small percentage of sufferers experience symptoms worsen rapidly. Generally will take 6-24 hours for regular asthma conditions to develop into severe asthma.

In addition to chest tightness, difficulty breathing, and wheezing that is getting worse, other signs of severe asthma attacks is a decrease in peak expiratory flow, difficulty speaking (due to difficulty breathing), anxiety, lips and nails that look blue, pulse rate increased, as well as inhaler (inhaled medications for asthma) reliever that does not work anymore in dealing with the symptoms.

Do not ignore if you experience these signs. You should immediately consult your doctor.
